It took Mr. McConnell, Mr. Hudson and then poor Mr. McConnell AGAIN to teach me how to drive. They must have done a great job because I've never even been pulled over. :-)

Right after high school, I joined the Air Force. I was stationed in Biloxi, MS in the Social Actions/Human Relations Office. We dealt with the drug problems and social interaction problems that were present when the airmen came back from Vietnam.

After the service, I became a veterinarian technician. I did that for many years and my specialty was animal nutrition and care and nutrition of exotics.

I was a server for many, many years and ran a 24 hour diner for 3 years in Yuma.

After that, I worked as the tot, and youth coordinator for the City of Yuma. My favorite job there was being the coordinator for the special population programs, instructing mentally and physically challenged adults. During that time I was also a "sidekick" on three radio stations in Yuma. I loved every second of it.. even if I didn't get paid. :-)

I write a lot of poetry and am passionate of course about animals. I like anything that walks or crawls and have had almost everything imaginable.

I moved to Dallas in 2000 and worked at Petco as the small animal specialist. I also worked for the Town of Addison in Addison, TX. In 2003, I became the Recreation Secretary for the Town of Addison. I retired after 15 years and we moved to the eastside of Tucson.

I was Mother of the Year in Yuma in 1989.

I wouldn't be so shy that I couldn't talk to any guys at all. I would have had fun in high school. I finally talked to my first guy when I was in the service.

When my mom was alive, we’d laugh till we couldn’t stand it anymore over something. Then we couldn’t remember what we were laughing at and we started laughing again. 😀
