Survived by Debbie Shoemaker, wife, his sons, Nathan and Phil. His mother, Rosalie Shoemaker and father, Dennis. His sister Danette Gingerich and brother-in-law Jerry. Nieces and nephews. A Grandson and grandfather.
He was a great father and wonderful husband. He was in music all of his life. He was in a band called "Summer Reign" and had a karaoke business. He worked for his father-in-law for years. His beautiful voice and kind soul will forever be missed.

Phil and I were married in 1971 and were happily married until his death in 1999. We had two wonderful sons who continue to be a great source of happiness for me and serve as great examples of all of the goodness that was in their Dad. Nathan, his youngest, inherited his beautiful voice and continues to pursue a career in music. Phil Jr., received his electrical engineering degree and is a successful businessman. He and his wife Brandi have blessed me with two grandchildren! When I lost Phil, I not only lost a beloved husband, but my best friend.
