I am presently an Office Manager for a wonderful eastside school in TUSD (hence the school picture). I graduated from the U of A in l975 with a business degree and then worked as a paralegal for domestic law firms. Took off 8 years when our children were born and then went back for several years until I left to go to TUSD 9 years ago(summers off and lots more vacation time--I love it).

I met Doug in English class our senior year at Saguaro. We started dating the last week of school and married our junior year at the U of A. We've been happily married ever since. We have two great children, Sean, age 29 and Heather, age 27.

Heather and John were married at the Saguaro Buttes in 2007. Both are U of A alumni and Heather went back this year for another degree, this time in Nursing. No grandchildren as yet, but we all love our granddog, Jonas.

Sean and his girlfriend Stephanie are both U of A alumni as well. Sean was a Manager at the Doubletree and saved a drowning young man. Hilton then sent him to China to carry the Olympic torch and he and Steph had a great trip. Sean is presently a Firefighter with the city of Tucson.

I'm looking forward to seeing those who come to the Friday night casual reunion. Marcia (Terry) Skinner will be coming from Oregon too. I actually remember more from my high school days at Palo Verde, watching the sun come up in my second period class and Jamie Cook, the kooky young French teacher. I do remember a detention at Sahuaro for leaving at lunchtime to go to El Taco and the wonderful apple turnovers in the lunchroom. I swear I can still remember how to do shorthand though I haven't even tried it in 35 years. Kudos to Mrs. Davenport and her business classes even though I can still remember how much I hated those typing tests. Thank God for computers!
