Cougars at the Bambi!!

It was an intimate gathering at the Bambi on Saturday night, but really nice because we all got a chance to really talk with each other. It was a wonderful idea of Dan Ferguson's to get together. He had so much fun, he has promised to come to the next reunion. Dodi Hoff was a wonderful hostess as well.

Emmy Creigh had such a good time, she feels that we should have a monthly get together at the Bambi.....what do you all think??  We could designate the last Saturday of the month as Cougars at the Bambi night.  Give me some feedback on this idea, please.

Emmy's group, Way Out West, is playing at a fundraiser on April 7 for the Tucson Folk Festival; info at http://www.tkma.org/OTASpringFundraiser.html   Her group plays at 4:00.

Once AGAIN, I forgot my camera.....hmmm seems like a pattern-----but know we really did have a great time reminiscing.

It's Always a Good Day To Be A Cougar!!

Thank you Dodie Hoff for hosting our get together on July 2nd at the Bambi......a good time was had by all.....Sorry, I forgot to bring the camera.

40th Reunion Blessing

Since we last gathered at commencement, we’ve been living for forty years.

Some have been blessed with much laughter and some have cried many tears.

Most of our class have lived forty years though some of us now sleep.

We living have all had equal time, some level ground, some steep.

We gathered for commencement in 1970, full of potential and dreams.

Though much has been packed into our lives, how quick 4 decades seem!

Some have served us and our country in the military style.

Some have worked and achieved great things and traveled many a mile.

Some of us have been given a mate and some have children too.

How blessed we’ve been if we’ve received and given love true.

Whether accomplished or common, we each got to live and breathe.

We had choices to question and doubt or to hope and believe.

At commencement, the privilege of closing in benediction was mine.

Now I’m going to bless you and pray the Lord’s light in your life will shine.

I pray because my Lord is Faithful, even when I’m not.

I have found that He is more than enough, even when He is all that I’ve got.

God bless you, dear classmates. May you each know His best.

May you have work with purpose, rich relationships and His sweet rest.

If you haven’t met my Lord, may you seek Him now with all your heart.

May you be able to say of your life, knowing Him was the best part.

May He heal your every hurt and loss that you have endured.

May the Lord bless you richly and may your every ailment be cured.

May He strengthen and guide you so that the best is yet to be.

May this reunion be great yet a mere taste of the reunion for eternity.

May you each know the voice of Father, which to hear you must be still.

May your heart know sweet Holy Spirit and His overflowing fill.

I pray that you’ll also know His presence and His wisdom employ.

I pray that each of you will know the Savior, Jesus and be strengthened by His Joy.

Lord, we each need to know the sweetness of forgiveness in our mouth and heart.

Give us hope and Your vision and Your compassion to us impart.

May we live our lives celebrating in grateful worship of Your sacrifice and grace.

May we each hear “Well done,” when we see YOU Face to face!

Amen
